November 27th, 2007 by AllGiftBaskets

Wedding RingsOkay, you’ve been invited to a wedding. Now you are probably wondering what to do about a gift. Even though many couples register their gift wish list with local specialty shops or pricey department stores, this does not mean you should feel obligated to select from this list. While it may be a nice gesture to help the couple complete their flatware or china selections, remember — this gift registry is a service brides-to-be use as a means of suggestion. The most thoughtful gifts are those that reflect the giver’s unique expression of well-wishes for a happy marriage. These are the gifts that say “I care”, and are just as welcome, and more often than not, are the ones that will mean the most to the couple.

A Survey of Gift-Giving Across the Business World

May 26th, 2007 by AllGiftBaskets

Gift-giving in business comes with no rules, and many results. Not surprisingly, the types of gifts given and amount spent vary from one industry to the next. When giving gifts outside your industry, do your homework. What’s appropriate on Madison Avenue may not work on Wall Street.

Financial Services

On Wall Street, the range of gifts and their value vary. For large investment banks and money management firms, the price of items sent and received tends to start at $100. For boutique firms, $100 is generally as pricey as it gets. And public finance-based firms send no gifts to clients because of government regulations.

Business Thank You Cards

May 19th, 2007 by AllGiftBaskets

Business ThankYou CardWe all know that gifts should be freely given, with no formal thanks expected, but acknowledgement of receipt is always appreciated. An e-mail thank you is acceptable if you are pressed for time, but a typed or handwritten note is a meaningful added gesture.

Like the gift that you received, a thank you note is an excellent goodwill builder, and a way to show your excellent manners.

Where to Begin

A good start for note writing, and an incentive to putting pen to paper, is quality stationery. Correspondence cards are perfect for a short note - taking the time to have them made will reflect well on you, showing the importance you place on your personal relationships.

Even for business correspondence, it’s appropriate to have the cards engraved or imprinted with your own name or initials, rather than your company logo.

Thank You Gift

April 13th, 2007 by AllGiftBaskets

Thank you gifts are perhaps some of the most meaningful presents ever given. While we certainly have plenty of reason for giving gifts on holidays and special occasions, it’s so easy to lose sight of the reason for these commemorative days. Thank you gift express the simplest and most beautiful sentiment - one of gratefulness and appreciation.

Thank You Gifts that Show Gratitude

For this reason, thank you gifts should symbolize this noble reason for giving. For example, in reward for a thorough job well done, what about rewarding your employees with spa gift certificates as thank you gifts? This is certainly more personal than a check would be, and it directly relates to your acknowledgment of your team’s deserving need for relaxation.

Gold Celtic Jewelry

February 22nd, 2007 by AllGiftBaskets

Gold Celtic jewelry often tells a tale of Celtic history. Since many stories were not written down, the jewelry of this age gives more of a history than any documentation could provide. The stories are told in symbols which can be found on many different pieces of jewelry.

Many golden rings are stamped with certain symbols. From a sketch of Ireland to a symbol of Sitric “silkbeard” the Norse King of Dublin, gold Celtic jewelry is nearly as intricate as Egyptian hieroglyphics. The symbol of the Celtic high crosses is a sign of Christ’s victory over sin and death; this is a very popular symbol among Celtic jewelry wearers.
